Special Volunteer Opportunities with Camp Boggy Creek
Delta Zeta members have two opportunities to volunteer with Camp Boggy Creek, part of the SeriousFun network of camps, Delta Zeta's national service partner.
Thursday, July 27 - One day Camp Boggy Creek Tour and Volunteer Opportunity
Arrive early at Convention and choose to add on the Camp Boggy
Creek tour on July 27. For an additional cost during registration, the
first 100 attendees can register to tour the camp and be back in time
for the kick off events that evening.
July 21-26 - Six day Camp Boggy Creek Camp Counselor Opportunity
Camp Boggy Creek, a SeriousFun Children’s Network Camp located just
outside of Orlando, is looking for 25 Delta Zetas to volunteer as camp
counselors for their camp session the week leading up to Delta Zeta
Convention, July 22-26, 2023. Arrival for volunteer orientation is
Friday, July 21 and departure is in the early afternoon of Wednesday,
July 26. This camp session is serving children with the following
diagnoses – Asthma, Craniofacial, Kidney, Spina Bifida.
- There are 25 volunteer spaces for Delta Zeta members.
- Complete this application by Monday, June 5.
- Volunteers would need to arrive in Orlando on Friday, July 21
for orientation. If flying in, you should land in Orlando by 11:00 a.m.
on Friday for pick up from Camp Boggy Creek. You will be done in the
early afternoon of Wednesday, July 26, and if registering for
Convention, you will be responsible for your hotel accommodations
Wednesday evening. You may add that to your Convention registration or
make alternate hotel arrangement
- Members selected are responsible for their travel to and from Orlando.
