When and where is the conference? Where will I be sleeping?
The 2025 Norma Minch Andrisek Leadership Conference will be July 10-13 at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio. Participants will be staying in the residence halls on campus.
Who should plan to attend?
The conference is designed for EMERGING chapter leaders. Please plan to send members who your chapter considers to be the future of the Sorority. Consider those who just joined but have great leadership potential, chair positions or those who are newer to the Executive Board. Members do not need to hold a position to attend NMALC. The conference will not focus on specific officer positions, but rather how Delta Zeta members can develop their leadership skills to change the world. Chapter Presidents should not attend, and we look forward to seeing Presidents at National Convention.
How many members of our chapter can attend?
There is no limit to the number of chapter members who can attend.
How do we register members?
Chapter members attending the conference must register themselves. Another chapter officer or advisor cannot register for someone else in the chapter.
What is the registration fee? Does my chapter cover this or will I need to pay out of pocket?
Each chapter has a budget to attend conferences. The chapter should plan to pay each member’s registration fee ($625) and any travel costs, such as airfare, as well as the cost of the Delta Zeta shuttle ($115 charged at registration) to and from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport (airport code: CVG), if needed. If you are responsible for paying for your own registration, you may charge the registration (and shuttle, if applicable) to a credit card at the time of registration.
If the chapter is paying for the members’ registration fee, what should be used for the PO Number?
Collegiate chapter officers and volunteers whose chapters are paying via Billhighway should select Pay Later on the payment screen and enter their initials to have the charges placed on the chapter's statement. The PO Number should be their initials.
How does my Vice President of Finance send payment?
During the registration process, the member will indicate the chapter will pay with scheduled payment to National Headquarters in Billhighway. After registering, the member should ask the Vice President of Finance to submit payment. The registration fees will be applied to the chapter’s statement with National Headquarters. Another chapter officer or advisor cannot register for someone else in the chapter.
What airport should we use?
Delta Zeta will provide a shuttle, for an additional fee, from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky (CVG) airport to Miami University’s campus. Those flying into a different airport will need to find their own transportation to Oxford. Please plan to arrive at CVG at or before 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10 and depart no earlier than 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 13.
I’m driving. Will there be parking?
Yes, parking will be available near the residence halls where you will be staying. Parking permits are required on Miami's campus. More information will be sent to attendees on how to register their car.
I registered, but now I can no longer attend. What are my options?
Another member may attend in your place. Please notify DZConference@deltazeta.org, no later than June 6, with the name of the member attending in your place. If you need to request a refund, please notify DZConference@deltazeta.org, no later than June 6. Please note that cancellation refunds cannot be given after June 6.
What is the conference dress code?
Dress during the conference is casual with themes for each day. Any shorts or skirts should be of appropriate length. Please note, the weather in Ohio in July can be hot and humid, and we will be staying on campus and walking between buildings. Comfortable shoes are a must. The dress themes are outlined below:
- Thursday, July 10 – Rep Your Letters Day
- Friday, July 11 – Pink Day
- Saturday, July 12 – Green Day
- Sunday, July 13 – School Pride Day
What else should I pack?
You may want to bring an umbrella, extra pillow (as you are staying in the residence halls) or blanket, shower shoes, robe and any toiletries you may need. Linens, towels and one pillow will be provided for you.
I can’t come the entire time. Should I still plan to attend?
No. If you cannot attend the entire conference, which begins at dinner on Thursday night and ends at noon on Sunday, please plan to have another member of your chapter attend.
Will I be able to visit the National Historical Museum and National Headquarters?
Yes, during the conference we have arranged for time to visit the National Historic Museum and National Headquarters Friday, July 11.
We have more questions which weren’t answered here. Who do we ask?
Please contact DZConference@deltazeta.org if we have not covered your questions.
